On a hot summer's day, nearby rock pools provide the opportunity for a refreshing swim.Following lunch, the tour continues on into the mountainous regions of Lamington National Park .
At O'Reilly's Plateau, some 3,000 feet above see level, colourful native birds flock around you can feed. The Treetop Boardwalk through the rainforest canopy offers a bird's eye view of this enchanting area.
Leaving O'Reilly's we take in the magnificent view of mountains and valleys with a 300 degree view from the Gold Coast to Brisbane and around to the great Dividing Range. During the return journey, sightings of kangaroos, wallabies and Koalas are common as they emerge form their bush retreats to feed on the lush grass in the cooler part of the day.
