Sculpture on the Edge

If you're a fan of Sydney's Sculpture by the Sea, then you should venture further south and check out Sculpture on the Edge. The annual exhibition features large sculptural pieces set into the magnificent coastal scenery as well as an indoor exhibition of smaller sculptures, children's workshops and a symposium on the changing face of sculpture.
Eden Amateur Fishing Competition
Date: March 5-12
The annual week-long Eden-based fishing competition with $30,000 in prizes for those who catch the biggest fish! Competitors from all over Australia join in this annual week of fishing and fun with the competition divided into four categories: open, ladies, boys and girls.
Sapphire Coast Rock n' Rollers Dance Festival
Date: March 11-13
A fantastic weekend of R&R music, dancing and hot rods. The dance festival will include dance workshops and the main dance on the Saturday and the Show & Shine hot rod and classic car display on the Sunday.
Bermagui Seaside Fair

NINGALOO'S first whale shark of 2011 has been spotted off the coast of Exmouth, hailing the early start of the annual whale shark season.
The four metre juvenile was sighted in the Ningaloo Marine Park, just outside the reef on 15 February - an earlier than usual start to the season.
Australia's Coral Coast Chief Executive Officer, Mr David O'Malley said the whale shark season at the Ningaloo Marine Park was becoming longer and more successful each year.
